About the song:
I remember writing this song pretty clearly. I was laying on the edge of a bed in the dark in October or November 2021 with an acoustic guitar and started with the chords for the verse, the buildup, then worked it into that weird hootenanny breakdown part. I thought it flowed pretty well and I wanted the song to have lots of choppy starts and stops. I think I began writing the chorus first and I had that two note melody in my head. I tried a bunch of words but choking seemed to fit best, eventually the song turned into a sort of revenge song. It was meant to be tongue in cheek. And was originally it went back and forth between I'm and You're waiting for me to fall. But, there was a time that I'm not proud of where I had been lied to and just arguing with someone to multiple boiling points and holding it in, wanting them to care to the point that I wanted them to get a taste of their own medicine because of what it was doing to me mentally and emotionally. I believe I was wrong for that. I believe in forgiveness, and I do forgive, but in that moment it was like I wanted karma to just bite them in the ass already! I know there was a summer when I ate it on my skateboard out of nowhere in bowl and fractured a rib. I spent the next 2 weeks in bed healing my left side rib 3 or 4, near the heart. I'll admit the thought crossed my mind where was thinking to myself, damn what did I do to someone to deserve this and that sort of became a subconscious theme in my mind.
This song reminds me of a couple of my favorite punk bands out of Illinois and Chicago -a city I loved visiting. The best, most fun, (and maybe most intoxicated) concerts I've ever been to was in Tinley Park, Illinois during a blizzard years ago just me and my girlfriend at the time.
Originally, we were planning on releasing the entire 8 track album now, but there is a delay, so on October 25th 2024 "Choking" will be out. Right now the plan is to release choking as a scottfreeunstoppable.com exclusive download and stream but depending on feedback it may make its way as a single to streaming etc. We'll be setting a final due date before end of the year for the album.

The 8 song album is finally done track lists are chosen and everything. I helped do the final revisions and mix by email with the blasting room in Colorado, man they really hooked it up. I'm saying this album sounds "explosive". Aside from that in September we wrote maybe 8 new songs. Pretty soon we're planning to post more video and pics to go along with the album release, so you can expect us back on Instagram for that and see us around locally. I'm still trying to make a tour happen, and more. But yeah, most importantly the music is finally going to come out by the end of the year. It needs to be promoted properly at this point and that's the hardest part and why it's taking so long.
I want a video done for the song "Choking" too, so at the very least you'll be getting that song as a single b4 Halloween for sure if the album isn't out by then. *cough* anybody willing to take us on, for booking, interview, promo, biz and anything else even just to talk my line is open 289-929-1695

We got some new t-shirts made for the show and seems people liked them. I think these look really cool. Currently still finishing mixing more songs which are almost done.

Thanks everyone who made it out to see us last weekend! You guys showed some love and it was one of our favorite shows because of you. We went nuts, and I can't wait until we sell an entire venue out. Let's make it happen people! I really want to just tear the place down! I'm going to be hosting my own huge show this summer where we'll be headlining alongside hand picked acts at an indoor skatepark. It just feels right to us. Ryan is quite the skater and Ethan can whip a scooter apparently. I've got to start getting filming ready for the next song "Choking".

A massive thank you to everyone for supporting us and being a part of the song Rose Creek. Extra special thanks to the people that live in Rose Creek MN. The love and support from Minnesota has been crazy and overwhelmingly positive. It's definitely my favorite song. So thanks, I hope you will continue to listen and share that song for years to come. Now in other news, Ethan Renette has joined the band on drums. We live ten minutes apart and had a few band practices that went really well, and it feels like we've all known each other forever. He's a multi-instrumentalist, and dedicated musician and has his own solo stuff too.
